Jessica G. 7/23/2011 Los Angeles, CA 7/23/2011 I first came to Steve to get a Brazilian Blowout since my regular stylist didn't do them. I knew deep down that while I loved my other guy, he just wasn't giving me the cut and color I really wanted. and Steve could sense that when we were talking about my hair. He didn't pressure me, but told me how he envisioned my style, and I decided to let him give me the works. Steve totally corrected the brassiness and redness of my previous incarnation of blond, and now I get tons of compliments on my new color. Plus, he gave me a sexier, shapelier cut that I adore. Steve is very friendly and his prices are fair-- knowing I am on a budget he has helped me get the biggest hairstyle bang for my buck, and made me feel like a true VIP to boot. His work is excellent! Steve gets the color right everytime and the highlights are great. Honestly, people don't know my hair has been colored. He finishes off with the perfect haircut also. I recently discovered it about a month ago and had a Brazilian Blowout from Steven Mata and it still looks amazing! I have extremely difficult hair so making it look good is challenging but today Steven wowed me again when he got rid of all of my grey and gave me the layered cut I had wanted forever. Color, cuts, Brazilian's. What can't he do!? And today I learned he also does eyebrows so when mine grow back in (long awful story), I'm heading right over. Everybody that works there is so friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The prices are great and I would recommend this salon, and Steven especially to anyone who is looking for a awesome stylist. Elizabeth E. I have a dream... that America is powered by cow shit. Kansas City, MO 4/22/2010 Places like the Tite End make me sad that I don't live in West Hollywood. Or in California, for that matter. I have an awkward lightbulb-shaped head, with hair that likes to stick straight out. It doesn't really bother me that much, since I don't have very good style, and frankly, I don't have to look at myself very much. But sometimes when I'm in a place like WeHo, I have a realization that everyone who passes me on the street must think I look like Beavis or Alfalfa. I had such a realization early one Saturday morning while visiting LA, and called the nearest salon I could find, which happened to be Tite Ends. Steven was able to get me in immediately, and did a fantastic job determining what would look good on me (I am not a hair guy, so I need guidance). Service was great, the cut was pretty darn good, and the salon itself has such a cheery atmosphere. The hot towel was a nice touch. Unfortunately, I live about 1500 miles away from LA, so it's unlikely this will be my regular haircut place. But, it made for a relaxing and pleasant experience, and they were able to accommodate my short-notice schedule. Mildred I. Los Angeles, CA 1/18/2011 I first came here after purchasing a living social coupon for the brazilian blowout. My experience with Steve Mata was beyond wonderful. He truly exceeded my expectations. He recommended to get a haircut to really get the effect I wanted with the blowout. I usually am skeptical about letting "new" people cut my hair, but I sure am glad that I let him! He knew exactly what I wanted, texturized my hair, and made it piecey. He is my new favorite hairstylist!! Highly recommend Steve for your hair needs! Kimberly P. Fremont, CA 12/28/2010 I have had Steven cut my hair several times in the past when I have come down to LA for visits and he has done a fantastic job. This time I decided to get a Brazilian blowout along with my hair cut and absolutely loved it! My hair is normally very whispy and poofy and I have to blow dry it every morning to get it to somewhat behave. Now it's smooth and healthy looking right out of the shower. Between the blowout, and the layering that Steven did, I am in love with my hair. Steven is a great hairdresser and everyone at the salon is friendly and fun to talk to. I would highly recommend getting your hair done here.
